Sean Harris, Psy.D.

Hello, I’m Dr. Sean Harris, a licensed psychologist specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I provide in-person therapy in Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Encinitas, serving North County San Diego, as well as online therapy throughout California. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families who are struggling with intense emotions, anxiety, behavioral challenges, impulsivity, family conflict, and difficulty with emotional regulation.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in private practice, residential treatment, and community-based settings. I’ve received extensive training in DBT and use a practical, skills-based approach to help clients build emotional resilience, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and respond more effectively to difficult situations.

I also work closely with parents and families experiencing high-conflict dynamics, helping them better understand patterns of interaction, reduce escalation, rebuild trust, and develop more effective ways of supporting one another.

As both a therapist and a parent, I understand the pressures families face today. Whether through individual therapy, family therapy, or parent coaching, my goal is to help clients build the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful and sustainable change.

I look forward to working with you. Please click the link below to view my CV and learn more about my training, education, and clinical experience.
